March 5, 2010

Original AC/DC singer Dave Evans, who recently signed a U.K.-exclusive deal with Rocksector Records to release his latest album, "Judgement Day", will embark on a U.K. tour in May. A U.K. version of Evans' band, THE BADDASSES, has been formed for this tour, featuring Chris Appleton (guitar) and Martin McNee (drums) from FURY UK and Marshall Gill (guitar) from NEW MODEL ARMY. The lineup is completed by Leon Gill (bass) from NEW UNION. These shows will feature material from "Judgement Day" plus some AC/DC classics from both Dave's era in the band and respectfully the Bon Scott era. The main support band on the tour is Cumbrian rockers FALLING RED who just released their debut album, "Shake The Faith", also on Rocksector Records.

Dave Evans' U.K. dates:

The first single was "We Don't Dance to Your Song".

Evans was a member of AC/DC from the band's inception in 1973 until 1974. Following his departure from AC/DC, Dave Evans formed the wild hedonistic rock band RABBIT, Melbourne '80s rock outfit DAVE EVANS AND THUNDER DOWN UNDER, and lastly DAVE EVANS AND HOT COCKEREL. Dave Evans has also toured as a solo act, and in 2004 released his current album, "Sinner", on Germany's Cultural Minority record label. In 2005, Dave Evans toured across Holland, Germany and Switzerland with the renowned southern rock band MOLLY HATCHET.
